£12,000 for kids charity
CHILDREN'S charity Help a Hallam Child is celebrating after a Sheffield building firm handed over almost £12,000 following a huge fundraising drive.
Kier, based on Manor Lane, had pledged to collect 10,000 for the organisation, which helps sick and deprived youngsters.
But it beat the target and raised 11,786.
Staff organised events including a charity football tournament at the Firth Rixson Aurora Sports Club, Rotherham, involving 24 teams from Kier, its contractors, clients and suppliers.
