A poetic opportunity

A FIRST ever poetry competition in a Peak District town is taking place giving writers of all ages the opportunity to have their work published.

The winner of the entire competition, being held in Buxton, will get the chance to read their work at the town's annual festival and also exhibit their work at the University of Derby's Devonshire Campus in the town.

The contest will be launched on Thursday, October 4 - National Poetry Day.
