Parties 'level' - poll
The Government sought to play down polls showing Labour neck and neck with the Tories today as Prime Minister Gordon Brown prepared to deliver a keynote speech on his vision for the future of politics.
Home Office Minister Tony McNulty warned that polls “come and go” and highlighted the Prime Minister’s achievements since he took over earlier this year from Tony Blair. Any decision on a General Election was for the Prime Minister, he said.
