Parade for WW2 battles

A COMMEMORATIVE parade in memory of the Battle of Britain and Battle of Arnhem is to be held in Sheffield city centre.

The parade will assemble in Holly Street, next to Sheffield City Hall, at 2pm on Sunday September 16.

The parade will march into Barkers Pool at 2.30pm when the Last Post and Reveille will be sounded before wreaths are laid.

A service will follow in Sheffield Cathedral at 3pm.

Present and past members of the Armed Forces and members of the public are welcome to attend the parade and service to pay tribute to those involved in the battles.

The parade will be led by the Oughtibridge Brass Band and a march past the Cutlers Hall will follow the Cathedral service.
