Zombies will be on the loose in Sheffield aiming to catch fundraisers taking part in a 5k run in the city.
The zombies will be chasing runners, who will each have three ‘life tags’ attached to their waistbands.
The idea is for the runners to compete the 5k Halloween Zombie Challenge without losing all their lives.
Runners will start the event in South Street Park at 2pm on Saturday, October 31.
The route will take them around the Park Hill flats complex.
Runners who lose all their lives can become zombies to try to stop the other athletes in their tracks.
Fake blood will be sprayed at runners along the course.
Money raised on the day, supported by The University of Sheffield, Sheffield Hallam University and Sheffield College, will go to the University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam University’s RAG charities.
Promoter Neil Midgley said: “Following the incredible success of the Student Colour Run on the same site in May 2015, we’ve been inundated with customers asking when the next event will be, so we came up with the idea of a Zombie Run. “Tickets are selling really quickly.”
