THREE budding fitness experts are set to boost their careers after being taken on by the area’s biggest local leisure venue operator.

Tara Hill and Helen Hinchcliffe, both aged 20, and Kieran Jepson, 19, have secured six-month training placements at Doncaster Dome.

The aspiring staff will become qualified Community Engagement Officers and receive industry level tuition, gaining level two fitness instructor and coach qualifications in addition to pool lifeguard coaching, first aid and disability awareness training.

Tara said: “It’s great working at The Dome - I have learned lots of different skills and had the chance to try out many diverse roles. This placement has enabled me to work with some of the most talented individuals in the sports and leisure industry and ultimately learn from the very best.”

The training drive is funded by the Government’s National Skills Academy programme, designed to ensure training and qualifications are relevant to industry sectors.
