SHEFFIELD grapple star Kris Travis is returning to his home city for a smackdown.
Ultimate Wrestling Entertainment –which had its Sheffield debut in February –is returning to the city to present another action packed night of American Wrestling, featuring Sheffield’s ‘Shooting Star’ Kris Travis.
Kris, aged 27, from Woodthorpe, started training to be a professional wrestler 10 years ago and has since toured all over the UK competing for more than 60 companies.
He has taken on some of the sport’s biggest names, including former WWE Wrestling star Kevin Thorne.
Back on home ground he will compete against ‘Dynamite’ Pete Dunne, a cruiserweight wrestler, from Birmingham, in what organisers have promised will be ‘a high-flying, all-action match’.
The bout is one of five grapple matches due to take place at Bellhouse Road WMC on Thursday, April 26.
UWE managing director Brad Taylor said everyone was looking forward to the night.
He said: “The last show in Sheffield was great, every member of the crowd from young to old had a great night and we are very much looking forward to returning.
“I have known Kris for nearly eight years now and regard him as one of the best in the country, so for him to return home and wrestle for us is fantastic.”
Along with the main match, other bouts on the night will feture an American Royal Rumble where every wrestler will be in the ring at the same time.
Doors open for the show at 7pm with the first match between Brutus Pain – a 20-stone monster –who will be taking on Castleford’s Mick Romeo.
n Tickets are priced at £8 adult, £6 child or £25 family of four, two adults and two children and are available in advance at the club or on the door.
