SHEFFIELD Cathedral will be filled with the sounds of world music on Saturday in support of asylum charity ASSIST and to round off Refugee Week.
The fifth annual world music concert will be headlined by nine-piece Rafiki Jazz fronted by a quartet including Sheffield’s own Mim Suleiman. Performers from the city’s many communities will add spice to the evening with music, dance and song.
The event will be hosted by Victor Mujakachi, a refugee from Zimbabwe, introducing performers from all over the globe who have come to Sheffield for sanctuary.
Tickets are £10 or £5 for concessions and are free for under 12s. The concert starts at 7pm.
