Work is underway on a new £4 million leisure facility in north Derbyshire.
Bolsover District Council’s new leisure centre in Clowne will boast a new swimming pool and slide along with improved leisure and sports facilities.
There will be a 100-station gym, group exercise rooms, a spinning studio, sports hall, children’s ‘soft play’ zone and outdoor pitches.
It is being built alongside the current sports centre in Clowne.
Coun Mary Dooley said: “The new facility will provide a massive boost to health and wellbeing in the district and help to meet our aim of increasing participation in sport and recreational activities, having fun and staying fit.”
