Merlin, the BBC fantasy-adventure television series, based on the Arthurian legends of the young wizard and his relationship with King Arthur, disappeared off our TV screens two years ago.

But you can relive the magic - we’ve got the epic fifth and final series box set.

For your chance to win it see our exclusive online competition below.

Merlin differed from traditional versions oif the story.

The show was influenced by the US drama series Smallville, about the early years of Superman, and was produced by independent production company Shine Limited.

The final series sees Camelot at the height of its golden age. With Queen Guinevere and the Knights of the Round Table at his side, Arthur has never felt stronger.

But even as Camelot flowers, the seeds of her destruction are being sown.

As the forces of darkness gather, only Merlin stands between Arthur and a fate that has been written since the dawn of time.

Three years on from where Series Four ended, Morgana is more powerful than ever and is still hell bent on destroying Arthur and claiming the Throne of Camelot as her own.

Old friends and new enemies threaten to switch sides as we see the return of Mordred (Alexander Vlahos), Princess Mithian (Janet Montgomery), Queen Annis (Lindsay Duncan) and even the deceased King Uther (Anthony Head).

With a stellar guest cast including John Shrapnel (Waking the Dead, Gladiator), Peter Guinness (Silent Witness, Sleepy Hollow) and the return of Gary Lewis (Billy Elliot, Gangs of New York), as well as superb action sequences and stunning CGI effects, the fifth series of Merlin was possibly the best.
