MUM and daughter pair Diane and Laura Connor are losers.

Big losers.

Between them they lost nearly 10 stone during gruelling fitness challenges on ITV show The Biggest Loser.

Diane, aged 53, and Laura, 28, are now back home in Wickersley, Rotherham, after appearing the show, which challenged them to lose as much weight as possible in eight weeks.

Contestants were split into teams and members of the team that lost the least weight collectively faced elimination.

The pair didn’t make it to the end of the show, being voted out in the fourth and fifth week, but the challenges certainly paid off.

Taxi driver Diane shrunk from a hefty 19st 4lb - shedding more than five stone.

Her daughter Laura went into the Biggest Loser house weighing 15st 12lb. She now weighs 11st 5lb - a loss of 4st 7lb.

Laura, a personal assistant who still lives at home with Diane and dad Graham, decided to enter the house after an ex-boyfriend cheated on her.

Speaking before the show started, she said: “I want to get a better a body, to become more confident, to get out of the rut that I’m stuck in.

“I don’t like what I look like - my confidence is just shot to pieces. What I see in the mirror is just awful.”

Diane said: “My son is getting married next July and I want to be able to wear a great wedding outfit - that’s the goal I’m working towards.”
