A community run swimming pool in Sheffield is offering water zorbing to try to attract new users.
The learner pool at Stocksbridge Community Leisure Centre re-opened last month and volunteers helping to run the facility are putting together a programme of new activities to boost visitor numbers.
Water zorbing sessions - said to be considered the closest thing to walking on water - are held at the pool every Wednesday from 6pm to 7.30pm.
The sessions are for people of all ages.
Weekly sub-aqua training classes are also run at the pool along with baby and toddler swimming lessons.
Aqua fit, over 50’s and ladies only sessions are also available along with a swim school for youngsters.
A team of volunteers took over the running of the centre in 2013 when Sheffield Council withdrew its funding to save the £400,000 annual subsidy it paid to former management company Sheffield International Venues.
The centre has indoor bowling, a multi-purpose sports hall, a gym and two squash courts.
