Sheffield shoppers have an average of 24 online accounts –and are compromising their security by using the same passwords.

More than a quarter of people in Sheffield use a pet’s name as a password, and 17 per cent admit to never changing their passwords .

Memory champion Dominic O’Brien says brain techniques could help - the password 8:30121hP99, for example, could be recalled by thinking: “It’s 8:30 and you’re having a one-2-one meeting with little harry Potter who’s holding 99 red balloons.”
