UNSEEN Royal treasures star in a new exhibition to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
Renishaw Hall and Gardens is hosting the display revealing more than 400 years of links between European Royalty and the hall’s Sitwell family.
Presents to the Sitwells from Queen Mary, and the late Queen Mother, as well as watercolours painted by the Sitwells of Balmoral Castle when they leased it before the castle was acquired by Queen Victoria, feature.
The exhibition opens next Saturday, May 12, and will run until September 30.
Renishaw Hall is also hosting a series of jubilee events in June to mark the Queen’s celebrations, including beacon lighting on the roof of the hall and outdoor cinema screenings of A King’s Speech and The Queen.
