Top tipples and entertainment at folk festival

AN IMPRESSIVE array of local ales and entertainment has been lined up for the Worrall Folk and Ale Festival.

The event takes place this weekend, in the grounds of Worrall Memorial Hall, Towngate Road, Worrall.

The festival opens at 7.30pm tomorrow with a concert headlined by Sheffield folk legends Jack’s Rake, with support provided by Vic Shepherd and John Bowden, and Richard Brown.

Saturday kicks off at 2pm with an afternoon concert featuring Sheffield artists and headlined by Yorkshire folk trio Skyhook. This will be followed by an open mic session and a family ceilidh starting at 7pm. The main evening concert starts at 8.30pm and will be headlined by Charlie Barker and Tom Sweeney.

Tickets are available on the door for £4.50 tomorrow and £6.50 on Saturday. Concessions are available.
