A TALENTED tenor aged just 14 moved people to tears when he sang at a self-help group’s anniversary celebrations.
Tom Donaldson-Badger – who has starred on stage for charity in front of thousands – performed for residents at the Roman Ridge extra care housing scheme on Lavender Way in Wincobank, Sheffield.
The show was held to mark the 25th anniversary of Shiregreen Tranx, which helps people with anxiety and depression.
Run by Lily Wilson, who lives at the centre, the group is open to the community and meets every Monday at Roman Ridge.
Lily said: “This is a notable anniversary. Tom filled our hearts with joy and peace as he sang.”
Alan Taylor, manager of Roman Ridge, added: “Tom coming to sing was a wonderful treat and a great way to celebrate the group’s 25 year anniversary.”
Tom, who lives near Bawtry, uses his talent as a tenor to raise charity cash and has been nominated for a Star Superkids award.
He performs at care homes and events to raise cash for a charity in India called Mother Theresa’s Sisters.
Mum Christine said: “A collection raised about £214 and all the people were crying, it was really lovely”
