SHEFFIELD boasts the UK’s best hotel customer service, according to a new survey.

The survey asked more than 25,000 guests for their experiences of service across the UK and Sheffield was found to be number one.
Yorkshire cities ranked as three of the top four, with Leeds and York falling just shy of the top spot.
Norwich, which ranked second, was the only place outside the region in the top four.
The news comes after awards success for some of the area’s top establishments.
The city centre’s Mercure Hotel last year won an award for guest experience, and Aston Hotel near Rotherham earned best business hotel.
“Sheffield is a naturally warm and welcoming city so it’s no surprise that its hotels provide the best customer service,” said Ian Slater, chair of Hospitality Sheffield, which represents the city’s hotels and tourism industry.
