Summer music for St Luke’s

MUSIC from some of the world’s best composers comes to Hassop Hall in Derbyshire at 7.30pm on July 8 with a concert for St Luke’s Hospice.

The Summer Concert is being held in memory of patient David Harvey, who died last November. Six musicians linked to the Royal Northern College of Music will present Mozart’s String Quintet in C Minor, Richard Strauss’s Capriccio String Sextet and Tchaikovsky’s Souvenir de Florence String Sextet.

The evening will begin at 6.45pm with a champagne and smoked salmon reception. Tickets £40 - call 0114 235 7555.

Meanwhile rising stars from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama present a concert at St Mark’s Church, Broomhill, Sheffield, on August 18 in aid of St Luke’s.
