Scouts from South Yorkshire have discovered that they are to living with Japanese families during a visit to the country next summer.

Over 3,000 scouts from across the country are joining over 30,000 from across the world at the 23rd World Scout Jamboree in Japan next summer.

As part of the trip they will live with families to learn about local cultures and ways of life.

Danny Levick, South Yorkshire Scouts’ Unit Leader, said: “What better way to learn about Japanese culture than spending a few days with a Japanese family?”
