POP singer and TV star Peter Andre is hoping to read his way into the record books with a giant literacy event in Sheffield - and he is calling on children around the region to help him with the attempt.
Peter will be at Meadowhall shopping centre on Friday, April 13, trying to break the world record for the most children reading with an adult.
For the bid to be successful, more than 4,000 youngsters need to take part - and the Mysterious Girl singer will be reading with the children at two sessions on the day.
Meadowhall is hosting the world record attempt to encourage adults to spend more time reading with their children, and Peter became involved after launching his own range of children’s books last year.
The singer said: “Reading with your children is one of the most magical experiences for any parent, but it is also an important pastime for your child.”
To take part, adults need to register their children on the shopping centre’s website, www.meadowhall.co.uk
