A Sheffield woman is opening up her garden to the public this weekend to raise money for charity.

Christine Littlewood, of Fernleigh, 9 Meadowhead Avenue, Meadowhead, will welcome visitors to her garden for the 14th year running on Saturday and Sunday.

The garden will be open between 1pm and 5pm on both days.

Christine, who has been nurturing her garden with her husband since 1989, has raised more than £25,000 for charity so far.

Money raised over the weekend will be donated to the Sheffield branch of the RSPCA.

Kathryn Whitlam, branch chairman, said: “The Fernleigh garden is a beautiful idyll.

“People can pick up tips, buy plants and enjoy a glorious day out.”
