BUCKINGHAM Palace’s postbox is bound to be brimming with cards ahead of the Diamond Jubilee - but a Sheffield company has gone to extra mile to congratulate the Queen.
Cardigans, a city-based card publishing company, commissioned the creation of a giant greeting the size of a double bed for Her Majesty to mark 60 years since she came to the throne.
Designed by a dedicated creative team, it aimed to signify the strength of the greeting card market in the UK.
The 6ft tall card was signed by hundreds of members of the UK’s greeting card family before Cardigans staff members Penny Shaw and Chris Dyson delivered it in person.
Mr Dyson said people had enjoyed signing the card.
He said: “We hope the Queen enjoys reading the messages and verses written in the card.
“Although often only a few words, people took great care and pride in making sure the sentiment in this very special card was perfect.”
