ACROBATS and jugglers from Sheffield’s own Greentop Circus are limbering up for a summer of entertainment, workshops and activities at several of the city’s community festivals.

Drop-in workshops, entertainment and shows will be held as part of a hectic schedule which got under way with the Woodhouse Carnival and Firth Park Festival.

The circus will roll into Sharrow Festival on July 7 from noon to 3pm, Limpsfield Junior School Fete on July 14 from 11am to 3pm, and Sumfest at Abbeyfield Park on July 29 from 1pm to 5pm.

Greentop Circus then holds its own Family Day at its base on Holywell Road, Brightside, on July 31 from 11am to 4pm. Visitors can have a go at skills such as diabolo and juggling, plate spinning, stilt walking, clowning and tight wire. There is no need to book.

A spokesman said: “This fun family day is a great introduction to what you can do at Greentop.”

No need to book.
