REVIEW: Curtain Call for Worrall’s Aladdin - Kerry Moorby

Have your say

Its curtain down on another successful pantomime for Worrall Community Association. The 2012 offering was Aladdin with four near capacity performances over the February half term weekend. Now firmly established as one of the most popular WCA family events, the pantomime group, now in its 6th year, continues to go from strength to strength. With a locally adapted script and a great selection of songs including ‘One Night in Panto’ a reworking of ‘One Night in Bangkok’ (featuring a snake charmer!) and The Genie Rap this was a show with something for everyone.

Featuring everyone’s favourite characters (some with a twist!) including Widow Twankey, Wishee and Washee (the terrible twins), the evil Abanazar (or was it Haveamarsbar?), the Peking Police and of course Aladdin, Princess Jasmine and Abu. Mixed together with all the essential panto ingredients plus a game show and ice-creams (on the head of selected audience members) courtesy of the Dame!

The cast and production team are made up of WCA Directors, members and other local families. A massive Thank You to all who have been involved and supported this extremely enjoyable event.
