sporting hero James Toseland is returning to Sheffield to mark his retirement from motorcycle racing with a star- studded celebration party – and a limited number of tickets are available to the public.

The Evening with James Toseland is being held at Sheffield Park Double Tree Hilton Hotel, Meadowhead, on Thursday, November 10.

Motor racing commentator Murray Walker will be guest host and there will be a performance by former World Superbike Champion James’s singer girlfriend Katie Melua, and a special memorabilia charity auction.

Tickets are priced £79.95 and include a 7pm drinks reception, three-course meal and half bottle of wine per person.

The dress code is lounge suits and evening wear.

Celebrations continue the next evening, Friday, November 11, when James will take to the stage at the same hotel with his band, Crash.

The band will play a selection of covers of rock classics and, in between music sets, Toseland will be meeting fans.

Tickets for the Friday night cost £15 per person or £5 for children aged 12 and under.

The event begins at 7.30pm and a full bar service will be available.
