BUDDING artist Sabir Karakoc has won a prize for her Royal portrait!
Sabir, a pupil at Kingfisher Primary School, Intake, was one of 160 youngsters who painted pictures of British Kings and Queens over the ages, which are currently on display at the Frenchgate shopping centre.
Judges at the centre visited her at the school to give her the first prize of a £100 gift card for the centre. She was announced as the competition winner at the school’s assembly.
All the picture can been seen at the centre until July 2. Pupils from Woodlands, Warmsworth, and Misson primary schools also took part in the contest.
