BRITAIN’S Got Talent star Danny Ball will form part of a Doncaster show to raise cash for the Red Cross.

Danny, one half of the martial-arts-to-music double act Strike, will be performing at what will be a fashion show held at the Trinity nightclub on Wood Street.

British Red Cross shop volunteers from the borough are holding the free fashion show to raise money on Saturday, May 21. It will run from 2pm until 4pm.

As well as Danny’s act, the event will also see performances from East West Mixed Martial Arts Group, Urban Street Elite dance crew and solo singer Catherine Noble.

Shelley Brailsford, a volunteer for the Red Cross, said: “The fashion show is going to be spectacular. We’ve covered themes from Lady Gaga to Grease with a finale inspired by a wedding.

“We want to encourage as many people as possible to come along and support us - there’s something for everyone and entry is free.”

The outfits have all been donated to the Red Cross. The Yorkshire Wildlife Park, Vue cinema, Mecca bingo, Doncaster Superbowl, Tesco and Origin broadband have also offered raffle prizes.

The event is to tie in with Red Cross Week which runs from May 1 to 8. The fundraising seeks to raise funds to support British Red Cross projects both in the UK and overseas.

All projects bring help to people vulnerable in a crisis – such as those in the UK whose lives are disrupted by fire or flooding, or people needing help after leaving hospital.
