Impressive start up the Limestone Gorge of Winnat’s Pass onto Mam Tor where superb views of Edale and Hope Valleys appear. Then a level ridge walk to Lose Hill before returning beside the delightful village of Hope for coffee and the beautiful valley of Peakshole water. 460m of steady ascent up Winnats onto Man Tor then easy walking. Norfolk Arms Ringinglow Walks: SAT 8 SEPT. Stoke Ford. An early morning walk up at Redmires. Quite an easy 2 hour walk round the reservoirs and along the conduit with great views throughout. WALKS BY TRAIN: walkers are invited to discover the South and West Yorkshire countryside using public transport on railway rambles with the Penistone Line Partnership. Most walks follow public rights of way between stations along the scenic Penistone Line linking Sheffield, Barnsley, Penistone and Huddersfield. All are accessible by departing from SHEFFIELD and MEADOWHALL stations on Saturdays. Some walks also take place in North Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Lincolnshire.
