A TEAM of Sheffield health workers pushed a hospital bed from Northern General Hospital to the Royal Hallamshire to raise money for charity.
Six members of Sheffield’s theatre supplies department dreamed up the challenge to raise money for the Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity.
Kieran Bradshaw, aged 36, theatre supplies manager at the Northern General and Hallamshire, said: “We had a great time, despite some pretty terrible weather. We had already put it off once so just decided to brave the rain and go for it.
“We got a great reaction from the public and raised £129 in collections alone as we travelled across town.
“Everyone was really generous. With sponsorship coming in we should raise about £400.”
Kieran was joined by colleagues Russell Cox, Eileen Hughes, Steve Cook, Will Chowder and Matt Bennett, along with Matt’s children Amy, Chloe and Zak.
