Pupils’ dress copy project

Have your say

MILLIONS will be watching the Royal wedding in two weeks’ time – but few will be studying as closely as pupils at a North Derbyshire school.

Youngsters at Mount St Mary’s College, Spinkhill, will be watching one aspect of the big day with particular interest – Kate Middleton’s dress.

When the queen-in-waiting walks down the aisle, talented art students will be recreating her dress while watching the ceremony live on television, and making a replica which could be the first and quickest one produced anywhere in the world.

Details about the dress are impossible to find in advance and Kate is said to have commissioned three different outfits in case one of the designs is leaked.

Mount St Mary’s prep school Barlborough Hall will also be holding a Royal wedding party with a fancy dress theme of red, white and blue.
