A SHEFFIELD pub is taking part in a national campaign to provide pyjamas and books to young carers aged between five and 12.
The Pyjama Project takes place during National Storytelling Week - from January 26 to February 2.
Members of the public are invited to donate bedtime books and children’s pyjamas in good condition, and drop them off at The Travellers Inn in Ecclesfield.
They will be given to Honeypot, a charity which provides respite breaks for vulnerable children and young carers.
Amy Garrett, marketing executive at The Travellers Inn, said: “A bedtime read is one of the most magical times during childhood, but with 13,000 child carers caring for more than 50 hours a week each, these are children who all too often miss out on the wonder of storytelling.”
