ROTHERHAM residents are being encouraged to make sweet music as part of a piano project.
The instruments have been popping up in venues across the town as part of the Rotherham Urban Piano Project, set up after Ben Kealey of rock band Kasabian donated his customised one to the town.
As part of the scheme composer Barry Russell will be hosting an open workshop in the new Gallery @ Riverside on Monday, September 3, from 2pm to 4pm, using the Kasabian piano. Members of the public invited to the free session to share a few notes.
Craft workshops will be held at The Old Market Gallery to decorate the piano there today and on September 5 and 6.
