Youngsters from four Sheffield schools helped create a new oral history of the city as part of this year’s Children’s Festival.

Pupils from Rainbow Forge, Emmaus, Monteney and Mosborough primaries worked with the Art in the Park group on the online project titled Words Aloud.

Working with a professional poet, children delved into Sheffield’s rich and varied past and then wrote poems with a historical twist.

Pupils were then recorded reading their works.
