A HUNDRED ales, 10 venues and three days...

Real ale fans from across the region are set to flock to the annual Three Valleys Festival being held from Saturday to Monday.

The event is spread across 10 venues in Dronfield, Holmesfield, Barlow, Bradway and Totley, and includes a free bus between all sites and the local railway stations every half hour from noon to 11pm.

The event was the brainchild of local Campaign for Real Ale members Nick Wheat, of Holmesfield, and Andrew Cullen, of Bradway.

There will be more than 100 different real ales, other beers and ciders. Drinkers will be entertained by 16 performances of live music and a range of food will be available.

Venues taking part are: Coach & Horses, Dronfield Arms, Three Tuns, Dronfield; Jolly Farmer, Miners Arms, Hearty Oak, Dronfield Woodhouse; Horns Inn, Holmesfield; Barlow Brewery, Barlow;

Castle Inn, Bradway; and Cricket Inn, Totley.
