Boy band sensations One Direction brought a Somerset seaside town to a standstill to film their new music video.

Fans lined the streets near Clevedon Pier yesterday to catch a glimpse of the band filming for a yet-to-be-revealed new single.

The record-breaking British boy band had chosen a particularly grey day as a backdrop for the shoot, but the wind and rain hadn’t stopped the hundreds of teenage girls from turning up with the hope of getting a ‘selfie’ with the band.

Harry, Niall, Zayn, Louis and Liam were wrapped up in warm clothing against the elements on Clevedon Pier, on England’s west coast.

One Direction’s online-savvy fans had learned of the band’s location in advance through Facebook and Twitter.

The band, who picked up two Brit Awards in February, are yet to release any records in 2014 after releasing their third album, Midnight Memories, in December. They begin their third tour in three years in May.
