North Derbyshire history debate

Have your say

Ever wondered what life was like in medieval times? Now you can find out.

Prof David Hey, a history expert based at Sheffield University, will be revealing the secrets of life in the 15th century in a public talk at Dronfield Civic Hall on Tuesday, March 12, at 7.30pm.

The professor is a patron of the Dronfield Heritage Trust, which is restoring the town’s ancient medieval barn on High Street.

Recently awarded a National Lottery grant to start the work, the trust also has a commitment to research the history of the town.

His talk will draw on archive collections which detail what was happening in the town in the medieval period.

For tickets – priced £6, and £4 for Friends of the Barn – call 01246 269963 or visit the Hall Barn Project Office in the Peel Centre, Dronfield, from 11am to 1pm on Thursdays.
