A CHARITY night at the Transport Club in Meadowhead, Sheffield, raised £1,160.45 for St Luke’s Hospice.

The evening, organised by keen hospice supporters the Woodseats and District Darts League, featured an auction of sporting memorabilia including a pair of signed Ryan Rhodes boxing gloves and a signed shirt donated by darts star Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor.

Nursing home fete

St Catherine’s Nursing Home in Burngreave Road, Pitsmoor, Sheffield, is holding a summer fete on Saturday, August 11, at 1pm. There will be stalls selling toys, bric-a-brac, crafts, jewellery, books, cakes and refreshments. All proceeds to the residents’ fund.

EPILEPSY charity FABLE is almost £1,000 better off thanks to runner Steve Ford who completed the Sheffield Half Marathon on its behalf. Steve collected £971.80 for the Sheffield organisation.
