A WALK which helps people network is taking off - with more than 90 people signed up in just months.

Netwalking Sheffield, launched by city PR consultant Faye Smith and businesswoman Lucy Lippolis, lets professionals from all fields exercise and swap ideas. The next walk, from Endcliffe Park, is on Friday, April 20. Email to sign up.

MARKETING masters degree courses in Sheffield have been given an official stamp of approval. The University of Sheffield has joined forces with The Chartered Institute of Marketing in a new partnership - the first of its kind in Yorkshire. It means students enrolled on marketing courses get membership of the institute and are able to access benefits and events.

Salon owner’s prize

A BOUTIQUE beauty salon owner has scooped a top industry award. Julie Falder, who is also a therapist at Sopra on Chatsworth Road, Chesterfield, won the gold Performance in Hair and Beauty Standard Therapist Award thanks to customers’ testimonials. She specialises in solving skin and hair problems.
