A NEW antiques, art, design and interiors centre is opened officially near Kelham Island in Sheffield next week.
Lord Mayor of Sheffield Coun Sylvia Dunkley will do the honours at The Nichols Building in Shalesmoor on Thursday, July 21, from 4pm.
Sellers who have units in the building will be taking sales from 2pm until 7pm in the evening, and drinks and nibbles will be provided by the centre’s tearoom Nancy’s Fancy’s Cupcake Parlour.
Visitors are invited to attend in retro clothing to add to the vintage vibe.
The centre is intended as a ‘hub’ where people can display, buy and sell in the second floor showroom, with its exposed red brick walls and large windows, or just meet up in a relaxing environment for a coffee.
Monthly events will allow artists and designers to showcase their new work and there will be workshops for re-upholstery, pottery, woodwork, curtain making, art and ceramic design.
The centre will be open from Tuesday to Friday 11am to 6pm, Saturdays 10am to 5pm, and Sundays 10am to 4pm.
