MP helps with school plan

PUPILS asked their local MP to help them make an important decision about their South Yorkshire school.

Wath Central Primary School's newly-elected council invited Wentworth MP John Healey to their meeting when they were discussing ideas for a new feature at the front of the school.

Council members brought suggestions they had discussed with their classes - and the most popular ideas were for a sculpture, seating area, wishing well, mural and flagpole.

Pupils from each of the 14 classes were elected last month after candidates wrote a manifesto and campaigned.
