A DRAWING by your little one is the perfect Mothering Sunday gift – and something to treasure forever.
Now The Star is setting out to publish South Yorkshire children’s drawings and paintings of their precious mums, to make Mother’s Day an extra special celebration on Sunday, March 10.
This year artistic youngsters can even scoop a top shopping treat for their mum to enjoy.
Last year dozens of children from across the region took part and we published a 20-page supplement of all the submitted entries.
So Draw Mum is back by popular demand, but as a competition – and one lucky reader will take home a £20 Meadowhall shopping voucher as a prize for their mum to spend.
The competition is open to children aged 12 and under, who simply need to draw a picture of their mum to enter.
The pictures will be put to a public vote before the top 10 are assessed by a judging panel, who will then decide the overall winner.
To be in with a chance of winning, all youngsters have to do is paint or draw their mum in the most colourful and creative way possible, on the form 10 today.
Don’t forget to include your name, age, address and contact telephone number on the entry form.
Entries should be sent to Draw Mum, The Star, York Street, Sheffield, S1 1PU, or scanned in and emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org with Star Draw Mum in the subject header.
The closing date for entries is Friday, February 22, with entries featured in a Draw Your Mum supplement on Saturday, March 9.
