More arrests after stabbing

TWO more arrests have been made by detectives investigating a vicious knife attack on two men on a night out in Sheffield city centre.

The men, both in their 20s, were quizzed by police after two men were knifed on Holly Lane in the early hours of Sunday, June 26. The suspects have been bailed pending further inquiries.

The attack left both victims seriously injured. Friends said one later had to undergo emergency surgery to have his spleen removed. Both victims, aged 24, also suffered punctured lungs. Friends claim the were set upon by a gang of up to eight yobs.

A 24-year-old man and 16-year-old youth arrested earlier in the police investigation have also been bailed pending further inquiries.
