Man takes to the skies

A WORKER from a city doctors' surgery will be taking to the skies in support of Sheffield Children's Hospital when he takes part in a charity parachute jump.

Sean Fleming, from the Sheffield City GP Health Centre in Broad Lane, has signed up to say thank you for care the hospital gave to his older brother Mark when he was a child.

The event takes place in April at Langar Airfield near Nottingham.

Sean said: "I did a reverse bungee jump in 2009 and got such an adrenalin rush from it I wanted to do something similar.

"The charity did such a lot for Mark and it's a great cause so I thought it the best place to give my fundraising money to."

Cheryl Ridge, fundraiser at the Children's Hospital Charity, said: "We are delighted Sean has chosen to raise money for us."
