HATS off to Holly Hudson-Fone, who really got into the Easter spirit with the bonniest of spring bonnets.
Holly took part in the Easter celebrations at the Roman Ridge extra care scheme, Lavender Way, Wincobank.
Tenants at the residential centre invited relatives to help them transform their communal lounge into a boutique shop-window.
The bonnets were made by tenants in the centre’s regular craft classes, with the winning bonnet receiving a box of luxury chocolates.
Alan Taylor, manager of Roman Ridge, said the event gave tenants the chance to show off their sewing skills and take part in a bit of good-natured rivalry. But it was not just the winner who was able to gorge on chocolate. Everyone who attended got an Easter egg.
Speaking before the celebration, Alan said: “We’re all really looking forward to the Easter bonnet competition.
“A lot of effort has gone into producing some very fine entries.”
