FOOTBALL fans across South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire are urged to snap up the chance of a trip to Wembley.
Chesterfield take on Swindon Town in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, March 25 - but there are only three more days to get a ticket for the game.
The club has set a deadline of Thursday lunchtime for ticket sales. After that, tickets will be taken off sale - and none will be available on the day.
Chris Turner, Spireites chief executive, said: “Chesterfield’s Wembley trip is a wonderful opportunity for fans in the rest of Derbyshire, South Yorkshire and North Nottinghamshire to come along to enjoy the Wembley experience and also lend a bit of support to the Spireites at the same time.”
Chesterfield have so far sold 16,500 tickets out of an initial allocation of 21,158 in the eastern end of the stadium. Remaining tickets are £46 for adults, or £60 Club Wembley seats. A few single £26 and £36 tickets also remain.
Mr Turner said: “We want to thank everyone for their help and co-operation in helping make the Wembley ticketing operation at the club run smoothly.
“By doing it in-house, we’ve helped save Chesterfield fans money as the alternative of outsourcing the sale to a national agency would have meant fans being charged booking fees on every transaction.
“Anyone still needing a ticket is advised to get one before the deadline so they don’t miss out, as none will be on sale on the day at Wembley.”
