Join doctors and nurses today for charity Zumba dance - VIDEO

DOCTORS and nurses will take part in a fun Zumba dance workout class for charity at Sheffield's City Limits.

It's a fundraiser for Sheffield Children's Hospital, at the dance studio in Penistone Road, on Sunday, January 16, 3pm to 4pm.

Nurse Anita Pearson, a Zumba student of City Limits teacher Lauren Bailey, came up with the fun idea.

They're hoping to attract scores of people, including hospital staff, Zumba beginners and experts, all paying 10 each to take part at the studio, famously owned by the family of Strictly Come Dancing ex-champs Darren Bennett and Lilia Kopylova.

The result will be hundreds of pounds raised for the hospital - and a lot of fun.

Zumba, which fuses Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow fitness moves, is just what the doctor ordered.

It's a calorie-burning, body-energizing workout where fast and slow rhythms and resistance training are combined to tone, scult and burn fat.

Lauren said: "It's very popular and a fun way to get fit. Anita has organised the event and we're hoping for people of all abilities to come along and have a go.

"Those who can't make it, but want to make a donation, can contact us here at City Limits. Others wanting to have a go at Zumba, but who can't make the charity session, can come along to classes here every week. You don't have to book - just turn up and give it a go."
