BARNSLEY sculptor Graham Ibbeson has unveiled his latest piece.
Ibbeson unveiled a bronze statue of former England and Leeds United manager Don Revie at Elland Road.
The 8ft statue stands in an enclosed location opposite the ground’s East Stand and weighs about 30st.
Duncan Revie, Don’s son, said the statue was a “great honour and tribute” to his late father.
The statue was unveiled to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Leeds winning the FA Cup.
The Revie family were involved in providing guidance and pictures to help the sculptor produce the statue.
Mr Ibbeson has provided statues of other Yorkshire sporting heroes including cricket umpire Dickie Bird, in Barnsley, and fast bowler Fred Trueman, in Skipton.
His most famous statue is often said to be comedian Eric Morecambe on the seafront at Morecambe in Lancashire.
