Sainsbury’s supermarket at Crystal Peaks in Sheffield will be supporting the city’s only hospice with a donation day this Friday.
Customers are being asked to donate unwanted bags of clothing, bric-a-brac, general household items, CDs and DVDs, fine glass and china, books, jewellery, hats, purses and handbags - but no electrical items or videos.
All collections will be in aid of St Luke’s Hospice on Little Common Lane in Whirlow.
Sainsbury’s will act as a collection point for donations, with bags handed over directly to the designated driver of St Luke’s who will be in the car park next to the store from 11am until 2pm.
Future collection dates will be held on a monthly basis.
Dates of forthcoming events will be advertised inside the store.
