Garden opens for charity again

Have your say

Green fingered couple Anne and Stuart Grindle open their superbly manicured award-winning Tickhill garden for charity again on Saturday, August 6.

In recent years Mr and Mrs Grindle have won accolades from the judges of the Doncaster in Bloom competition for the beautiful baskets of blooms, luxuriant lawn and fabulous flowers at their 132 Doncaster Road home.

Afternoon teas will be served at their fifth annual event and there will be a tombola with prizes.

Car parking will be available.

Proceeds from the opening, from 12pm-6pm, will benefit a fund raising money for two-year-old local girl Isabella Reynolds.

She was born with an aggressive form of epilepsy which is affecting the development of her brain.

Isabella’s grandparents, Christine and Martin Reynolds, founded the fund.

Admission to the open garden afternoon is £3 and includes refreshments.
