VIDEO game fans from across the UK will descend on a Rotherham tourist attraction as part of a huge industry celebration.
Magna Science Adventure Centre is hosting Games Britainnia: Replayed on Saturday and Sunday, July 7 and 8.
The event celebrates 40 years of innovation and design in the business, featuring interactive exhibits where gamers can have a go at classic games on vintage hardware and try out the latest cutting-edge technology.
Top gaming industry designers - including Sheffield’s SUMO Digital - will also be on hand to help enthusiasts explore the science behind building games.
Stuart Ballard, science centre director at Magna, said: “We are delighted to be hosting one of the UK’s largest gaming festivals.
“It is open to everyone, from modern families to nostalgia-seeking enthusiasts and casual players to hard-core gamers.
“The aim is to inspire young people to get involved in design and building games.”
